Maeven Art: Sustainable Acoustic Panels Made from Recycled pet-feltMaeven Art: Sustainable Acoustic Panels Made from Recycled pet-felt
We are proud to present unique works of art that are not only visually appealing, but also have a positive impact on our planet. All our panels are made from pet-felt, a sustainable and environmentally friendly fabric made from recycled PET bottles. This innovative solution reduces the amount of waste that ends up in the environment and gives new life to materials that would otherwise be wasted.
Step 1
Collection of PET bottles
The first step is collecting PET bottles. Once the PET bottles have been sorted, they undergo a thorough cleaning process to remove labels and caps.
Step 2
Ground into small pieces
After the PET bottles are collected and cleaned, they are shredded into small pieces or flakes to facilitate further processing.
Step 3
Gevormd tot polyester vezels
Subsequently, the PET flakes are melted at high temperature and formed into polyester fibers. The hard plastic is transformed into a soft, wool-like texture.
Step 4
Felting
Mats are made from these fibers, which are then felted. This felt is heated and pressed into a sheet. And our art is made from these sheets.
Step 5
The final product
Our unique wall tiles are made from PET felt panels. They are cut and milled with precision by a digital cutting machine. Thanks to this precise milling process, we can guarantee that every design detail is accurately reproduced.
